I am just trying to take your attention towards reality and make you think what you should think. These people are not doing any social work by acting in films. Its all about the Money. So why don't we treat acting as any other damn Job. The point I am trying to make here is that Acting is the most overrated profession in history. For instance leave that aside, Moving on we just have a bunch of very fine actors present in the film industry but the actresses of today are really nothing more than a piece of shit. no doubt they are one of the beautiful creatures on planet earth, but when it comes to acting, they suddenly go numb, we see them acting well only if the director is smart enough to make them work real hard and then also we admire them for the job that they dont even know In other words they are overrated, that proves my point .
I am again saying that I am not against acknowledging their work but what I am against is giving them divine status.
Just Imagine..Suppose by any means Shah Rukh Khan or any other overrated Jabroni visits your home and asks for some monetary help( Let )...Will you deny??

and Imagine a war widow or the siblings of a Martyr Kargil Hero visit your home for some help..Whom you will prefer helping??

Just have a look at their salaries or wages rather....Now ask yourself Do they actually deserve?. There wont be any single being saying yes which is the truth.
These Jabronies just work a few hrs a day and that too under the conditions laid by them and what they get is mass popularity and hell lotta black money.
Take any other damn Profession in public or private sector and compare it with their job and the difference is easily noticeable, the same difference which is between heaven n hell...Am I talking too much? Thatz the truth and we can't deny it.
This is the only reason why the youth of today( including me :P) is attracted towards this industry. Today, there are just a bunch of people who wants to join army on their will....rest all are either compelled which are again very few or others which have no option other than joining army this is a very mortifying act and disgrace to the country. If there would be such monetary attention seeking oppurtunities in the army and other jobs which are helpful in the development of the country by any means there would be numbers attracted towards these jobs and which would be good for the country as well....
Now Lemme ask a Question...today as the nation is celebrating the Xth Anniversary of the Kargil War Victory there would be a handful of people who actually remember that what were the circumstances those days, how the country was managing stuff etc....and others will have to give a hell lotta stress on their unidirectional minds to remember just the names of the soldiers killed.
These people know about the Filmfare awards but very few of them know which is the highest Gallantry award given by Indian Army...those who dont know its the PARAM VEER CHAKRA.
I am not saying that Indian Army is underrated but it is rightly rated, that much attention is given to them, what should be given.
We treat all actors as Stars...We call them talented...But for instance ask yourself....Is this the real talent..Hell No!!
The real talent does not lie in the film indsutry. It lies with each and every individual who provides a tiny help in development of the nation including the army, navy , air force, those people have sleepless nights just to make us have a sound sleep...The talent lies in the Agricultural Sector the farmers etc those people spend hours managing stuff there....
Admire the Film Industry, being a fan is not a crime but at the same time do not forget that there are other deserving people too, By our little appreciation of their work they get motivated.
Dont Ignore them.
The Indian Film industry is not at all worth of the attenntion that it gets..Its the Fact!

What Where When and Why?
The Following abstract has been modified and is taken from my First Book which is titled " Hoping against Hope-A Tale of Destiny and Triumph " which is yet to be published.
"What is the problem with these four W's. Whenever any one of these words is present whether in Question Paper or anywhere else it is an indicator of the thing which is known as 'Problem'..yaa....Pee Aar O Be Al E Am...Problem and which needs to be solved asap.
How many of you ever Questioned others about the existence of this world, about your existence, about The Creator of this Universe and How everything in this Universe takes place so perfectly.
Who is behind the scenes?
You will call him GOD...

Is GOD the one Who lives hundreds of thousands of millions of Miles above the earth or GOD is the one who resides beneath the earth or in some other Planet..Hell No
There is not a single Homo Sapien who has a grain size info about it.
Have you ever thought Why We all are Created , I mean What is the exact reason. Who gave the order and What is the need....In fact our civilization had flourished by just asking “why?”. So, could there be any race superior to ours? No? Why? I mean, why not?
Are We a part of some Assignment or Project that was given to some Super Human Being and How small are we as compared to the one who is behind us, I am not talking about the size but We don't know such things or We are not made to know such things
So Why the man(Let) behind the scenes dont make us aware about his identity. All these Questions are very Fascinating. They will take you to a different world altogether. You can keep on dreaming them and I gurran'damn'tee that you will forget everything else.
Man had been intrigued by what happened to him within his noticable domains…sensible right? So, he went about in search of the answers as to why they happened and then he found that the answers were really senseless leading to another question and then yet another. While we were busy knowing how the birds fly, we failed to ask why the birds fly…The answer is to move? Why should anything move? How did, in the first place, movement come into existence and what is existence? This is when I feel a hint of a superior civilization to ours(which you people call GOD), which created the small domain that we call ‘the universe.
We invented everything ranging from a small needle or a ball point pen to Aircrafts, Space Stations ,from hardware to software and from wars to natural calamities! What ability was it or What was the power which helped us to do all these Elephantine tasks. May be we were made to do all these…which seems absolutely correct ,may be all this is what we call in human as an experiment or an Assignment/Project which I was refering to earlier. May be we are all controlled…yes we are..no second opinion required...
Now Moving On...Everything is said to have formed from big bang. How and Why did big bang occur? May be it was the start of this experiment on us or on what we call our ‘world’, rather.
The Person who is doing all these stuff is aware that we are unaware of the fact that He is making all of us do that we are actually doing....Its slight confusing statement and I surely could frame it in a better way but who has the time to do it...It doesnt matter..Read on...
or in other words why don’t we know that we are being controlled...ya this one is better..Darn, I wasted two lines in writing a stupid statement that could be framed in a simpler way..Dammit!
Read on...Well let me ask you something-does a computer program actually ‘know’ that it is being controlled by the computer? Does the computer really know that it is being controlled by the chip within? Does a computer chip know it is being controlled by various elements? It is something similar to all these. and if you have brains you can easily get it but if you are a Brainless Jabroni then I am not sorry. Everything around us happens as it happens today because it is probably ‘run’ that way. Have you ever wondered why a body has to move in the direction of force applied on it and not against it? Why does force even exist? Why does energy exist? Why are all these elements of nature immortal unlike us? If we try to talk in a programmer’s language, may be force energy and matter were like library functions in a language called ‘universe’ that were used to create programs which govern how things are supposed to happen.
So What actually happens or What is simply My Conclusion
What I Fink is we are still trying to know the codes of these programs ignoring what lies beneath…what made these codes…another dimension we fail to think in, a dimension were rationality fails to exist, where our universe is simulated on a ‘computer’ and when the power supply is cut, we simply do not exist!"

Bringing the Attitude Era Back

Some people Say "FORGET THE ATTITUDE ERA"
its gone forever, its like saying "how can I live my childhood again.
But As Far as I know I'm an Attitude Era mark -- yes, I admit, a mark -- and even though I admit the wrestling wasn't the main focus during the Attitude Era but the storylines were, I STILL pick the Attitude Era over any other era in wrestling. Always have, and always will. Believe me when I say this ,Give me Stone Cold's beer truck and Rock's awesome promos and Y2J and Stephanie McMahon acting like teenagers picking on each other again, and I would buy a ticket every single time. I'm as sick of the PG Era as I am of Ric Flair.
What is Vince's Point of View of not bringing the Attitude Era Back?
1). As much as I want Vince and the writers to go back to what made them so popular, you have to understand that vince isnt trying to hook my generation anymore (i'm 20) he's trying to hook the next generation because they are the future of wrestling. what vince is doing now is no different from what the major sports teams do: Rebuild. Vince is trying to rebuild the fan base and the fan interest and rebuilding may take up to 3 or 4 years. Lets say, for example, vince is trying to hook the 9 or 10 year old. These kids just want a hero like John Cena or Batista to be beaten like hell in the whole match and then the combination of 4-5 moves give them victory in no time. But thatz not their fault, they are lkids afterall!! I think it may take vince 3 or 4 years to actually hook them onto his product before going back to the "glory days". yes, most of us who grew up during the attitude era are suffering, the matches aren't that great, some of the superstars are getting stale, and the feuds are just as bad.
Back in the 80's and early 90's, vince appealed to both young and old fans. what changed was when wcw started competing with the wwf. bischoff started getting vince's guys to sign with him and started the monday night wars. vince's response was the attitude era. vince wanted to win the ratings war and would have done anything to get the ratings.
Vince is a Legend, He is a Perfect Buissinessman
The only way we could see another attitude era is if TNA or ROH starts beating the wwe in rating within a year and a half. but i don't see that happening since TNA won't push anyone younger than 35 and ROH just started doing weekly TV tapings a few months ago. Guess we're stuck with the PG WWE.
2). They don't have the characters, they don't have the wrestlers to bring back that era. I'm not saying that you HAVE to have a SCSA or a Rock to bring back that era but you do need overly charismatic characters and you need at least one huge new guy to push to lead that era. Someone that the people could get behind and want to cheer no matter what. The WWE did have that person in Kennedy but he got released. Other than that there is nobody else out there in WWE that can do it.
People will say Cena... but the thing is... for the Attitude to work... you have to appeal to the teenage demographic, not the kids cause the kids aren't going to really get it as well as the teens would. And since Cena doesn't appeal to the teens as they majority hate him while the kids love him... Cena can't be the face if there was to be a new attitude era.
Then on top of that you also need new faces, new faces that have potential to rise to the top. Thing is... there are far more components to make a successful era that could rival the Attitude era that just aren't there... but the most important aspect needed is a rival company. WWF had WCW to push them to try cause well... WWF almost had to fold.
TNA isn't even a blip on the radar and ROH... ROH is a smaller blip than TNA so WWE doesn't have to do anything "good" to stay afloat because right now they are doing just fine. They've moved on from our generation and are feeding the next generation. But when WWE starts to really feel threatened again ... surely they'll start to up things again and make it a lot more watchable than it is now.

Conclusion :
So here is a list of things about the ATTITUDE ERA
1). I miss the attitude era most because of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. If those two guys, two of the most famous wrestlers to ever step in the ring, returned... then I wouldn't have complained about the attitude era. I know a lot of people like the earlier storylines, but I don't see what's so good about them.
I used to like the important aspects of it, like the greatest introduction of all time, with Jericho coming out for the first time against The Rock. that promo was gold, and it was great catching up with it on Youtube years later. I know that there are a few great promos from the Attitude Era, and some great matches from that time period as well. The Hell in a Cell between Shawn Michaels and Undertaker was really good too, people say it was a great match.
Y2J was an awesome force during the Atitude Era. We saw Stephanie practically grow up on TV during the AE, including her wedding to Test and her drive-thru wedding with Hunter. We saw HHH and HBK do their stuff, and Road dogg who rhymed all the time. We had TLC Matches and Edge and Lita and APA. I could go on and on, but I won't.
We saw better storylines, and better tag-teams during the AE, and the ppl who had the belts kept the belts longer than two weeks at a time. The belts weren't passed around like hot potatoes like they are now.
When I compare the WWE now to the WWE during the AE, there is a huge difference, and there always will be.
Its just Austin and The Rock..thats it...I dont give a shit abt anyone else.
2). It WAS the greatest Wrestling ERA ever, don't try to deny it, because when asked most real wrestling fans (and I mean real, by people who have watched wrestling most of their lifes) will say this exact same thing.
3). People loved it because of *takes deep breath* SCSA, The Rock, Chris Jericho, HHH, HBK, Undertaker (biker gimmick), The Hardys, The Dugleys, E&C, ect. This list goes on for a freaking week.
4). Yes it had a lot more entertainment moments and less wrestling moments than wrestling had PROBALY ever had before, but the things about this where. Those entertainment moments where actually funny, and the wrestling that was done was freaking awesome.
5). Vince McMahon let himself get stunned and/or attacked regularly. This might not seem like much but look up videos of him getting attacked back in those days. Pretty big pops.
6). It's dead, GET OVER IT! There's no other way to put that. The single best era ever in wrestling is dead and gone and we fans of it need to move on.
We all know that Attitude Era wont be back, but fuck, saying current period of PG shit is better than Attitude is fucking moronic.

The Montreal Screwjob was the real life double-crossing of defending WWF Champion Bret Hart by Vince McMahon, the owner of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), during the main event match of the professional wrestling pay-per-view event Survivor Series held on November 9, 1997 at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A secret change of the match's pre-determined finish (known as a "shoot screwjob" in professional wrestling parlance) was devised by McMahon and discussed with Hart's match opponent, Shawn Michaels.
The plan was executed when the match referee, Earl Hebner, under orders from McMahon, called for the bell to ring and ended the match as Michaels held Hart in the Sharpshooter submission hold (Hart's signature finishing move), even though Hart had not submitted. Michaels was declared the victor by submission and crowned as the new WWF Champion.

The reason for this screwjob was rooted in Hart's decision to leave McMahon's company for its chief competitor, World Championship Wrestling (WCW), after McMahon told Hart that financial problems would not allow him to keep Hart on under his recently signed 20 year contract. Hart cited a clause in his contract that granted him "reasonable creative control" and was steadfast in his refusal to lose a match hosted in his home country of Canada, especially against Shawn Michaels, with whom he did not get along.
McMahon remained insistent that Hart should lose to Michaels in Montreal, fearing that his company's business would suffer if WCW announced Hart as its latest signing while he still held the WWF World title. Although Hart and McMahon agreed to a compromise on the match ending that allowed Hart to retain the title, McMahon was determined to remove the title from Hart.
On the Wednesday before the Survivor Series (which was to be held on Sunday), McMahon met with Michaels, Paul Levesque (Triple H), and a close coterie of advisors in a hotel room in Montreal and planned the screwjob. The Montreal Screwjob was the real life double-crossing of defending WWF Champion Bret Hart by Vince McMahon, the owner of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), during the main event match of the professional wrestling pay-per-view event Survivor Series held on November 9, 1997 at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A secret change of the match's pre-determined finish (known as a "shoot screwjob" in professional wrestling parlance) was devised by McMahon and discussed with Hart's match opponent, Shawn Michaels.
The plan was executed when the match referee, Earl Hebner, under orders from McMahon, called for the bell to ring and ended the match as Michaels held Hart in the Sharpshooter submission hold (Hart's signature finishing move), even though Hart had not submitted. Michaels was declared the victor by submission and crowned as the new WWF Champion.

The entire thing was a ruse by Austin who in the course of the segment proceeded to tear off the suit, telling McMahon it was the last time he'd ever be seen dressed like this. Austin punched McMahon in the "corporate grapefruits", and took another picture with McMahon grieving in pain.
The following week on April 13, 1998, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mr. McMahon were going to battle out their differences in an actual match, but the match was declared a no contest when Dude Love interrupted the entire thing. On that night Raw defeated Nitro in the ratings for the first time since June 10, 1996. Meanwhile, several popular characters emerged on Monday Night Raw that would establish consistently high viewing from fans: The Rock, after not winning over the fans as the face Rocky Maivia, was making a new name for himself as a member of the Nation of Domination, and later as a singles performer, and Triple H, who after Shawn Michaels left due to back injuries took control of D-Generation X and recruited The New Age Outlaws and X-Pac, who had just returned to the WWF after his two years tenure with WCW as a member of the nWo, into his new "D-Generation X Army".

With the newly formed "DX Army", D-Generation X participated in numerous segments causing chaos and leaving wreckage wherever they went. On April 27, 1998 Nitro was held at the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia, while Raw was held nearby at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia. With the ongoing war between the WWF and WCW, the DX Army decided to initiate an immediate "invasion" of Nitro. The DX Army drove to the Norfolk Scope in an army Jeep, challenging WCW head Eric Bischoff to come out and face them or to let them in. The fans outside the arena for the show began chanting "DX" as they joined the DX Army, helping them attempt to enter the arena and invade the Nitro broadcast. Soon after, the DX Army even appeared at CNN Towers to call out WCW owner Ted Turner. Like Austin, D-Generation X were embraced by fans, with their mischievous antics and defiant attitude, as their popularity continued to grow.
Perhaps the only individual to rival Steve Austin in popularity during this time was The Rock, a third-generation star who was originally introduced to fans as Rocky Maivia and pushed as a major face upon his debut. The fans began to turn against Maivia, as they didn't appreciate him being constantly overemphasized as a good guy and forced into the role. Aggravated by the fans' extreme dislike for him and feeling under appreciated and underestimated, Rocky himself turned against the fans and began to verbally insult them on a weekly basis with various trash-talking promos while referring to himself in the third person.
Through his in-ring abilities and tremendous skills on the microphone, The Rock gained a huge fan base as he continued to grow immensely popular despite every attempt The Rock made to be a heel, even interrupting fans as they repeated The Rock's catch phrases in unison with him, reiterating "This isn't sing-a-long with The Rock!" With his engrossing and funny promos, The Rock became one of the most popular WWF superstars of all time.

A Sad Tale of Rotten Apples

For some reason, I kept dreaming about the quote ever since I got a flu. Yesterday was the 3rd day I dreamt about it. This is Freaking me out. Yesterday was the day when I managed to visit the market by taking some time off my busy schedule..he he..I am ~damn~ busy after all even in my Holidays as well...I am busy doing nothing. Its the most stressful job in the world . You have to think a lot when you have nothing to do...okay okay I know I was talking about my visit to the market...I saw My favorite fruit Litchi and it was just one vendor who was selling it in the entire market and it was 120 pe kg which was exactly similar with Exotic Fruits in terms of cost. I closed my eyes and passed by. Then I saw Apples and immediately I was reminded of this Legendary Quote " AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY" and I ordered a Kg of Apples. This was my first shopping of Fruits without any sort of outside help from a Family Member or so. I felt proud for actually no reason. When I came home with my head held high and my chest swollen with Pride but soon all my celebrations turned into grief when I was scolded by my Mom for bringing the pack of most rotten apples that could ever existed . Now I came to know how stupid I was...I just told the retailer to give me a kg of apples and I didn't even bother to check them...DAMN! foolish me....after that scolding laced with Love, I had to promise my Mom to never shop for fruits and vegetables again.

My Take on Happiness
Happiness is a very subjective issue. From what I observed, there are 2 general method of being happy.
Method 1
You see something I have. This thing will be able to make me happy as long as i have it.
When i have it, it gives me a sense of achievement, a sense of satisfaction & happiness.
Most people find happiness through this way.
In short, in your current state, you want something better.
Method 2
I come across a sad story, or an experience of others that is far worse than what I'm experiencing now. (eg:Homeless people). It made me rethink of the things i take for granted and it makes me appreciate stuff more.

When I was 19!
Those were the days when flavors of emotions floated around and never settled. Those were the days when ‘yes’ was a ‘no’ and ‘no’ was a ‘yes’ yet every time they meant – ‘I don’t know!’ Unreasoned hatred, inexplicable jubilance and senseless soliloquizing - everything summed up to one plain, normal day. Days that I cherished, days I’d like to revive over and over again!

I don’t say 19 is the bad guy of all the numbers out there. I just didn't want to end my teenage, that’s it! What can I ever do? I was 19 at that time and it’s very unfortunate that you don’t have a ‘twenteen’!

I'd like to dedicate the following lines to you. This is the first time I gathered a few lines which I can refer to as a poem....I dont know from where I got those lines but these lines rawkzzz!!
Sitting on the edge of the cliff I watched,
As the sun bade goodbye to the day,
Drowning in the horizon it smiled,
At the dusk drenched in it’s every single ray.
I sat there under the shadow of the orange sky...
The evening reminded me of the bygone day,
Would there be a better way to bid adieu
Than gifting a sky that is orange and gay?
And telling that soon I would be seeing you.
I thought…as I sat there under the shadow of the orange sky...
With sweet dismay the wind swayed my hair,
Assured me she’ll be back the next day,
To shower back all the love and care,
I wanted to say good bye but hey!

Why I love Sleep Zzzzzz......
Flames of passion and colors of imagination brim within me. What they all need to get inside a platform and show their Stuff .Just before this concoction erupts to unleash itself over the seemingly small domain around, I doze off!
Of late, sleep has become very dear to me. Dearer than T.V.! Could yew guys even think of it :P? I have been sleeping for all the wrong reasons, worse still, sleeping alone! (Oops!)
Tell you what, sleep is like slow poison, may be, even slower. When things seem awfully burdensome, sleep offers solace. For example, when a bulk of pending half-white pages with boring black letters teases me, I find my pillow very alluring! I wake up after hours from what should have been a forty winks only to find that stuff can be screwed up asleep!
I know what I am capable of and I also know that there is even more within that hasn’t hitherto been unearthed. Thanks to all the napping, I am, still, what I was.
My! All this typing is already making me drowsy!

THE LIFE AND LEGEND OF MICHAEL JACKSON
As he strided gracefully with people gaping at the analog fluidity of his legs , Michael Jackson not only ‘moonwalked’ into our hearts but he also made us wonder whether such talent was human. Thus now, to hear about his death at UCLA medical centre in LA ,it almost feels like a lie, a dirty lie. Welcome to the world of Michael Jackson , where every passing moment never failed to enchant you , either in ecstasy or in bewilderment. Perhaps that was the greatest trouble with his life. As long as he lived he was never allowed to be a common human being.
Born on 29th August 1958 , Michael was the second youngest of six brothers. As a child he suffered incessant abuse from a demanding father and was beaten up and molested. Infact in one of his interviews to Oprah Winfrey MJ admitted that even as an adult his childhood memories continued to haunt him.
Michael Jackson began his career as a lead vocalist of his family group ‘Jackson 5ive’. But soon the king was to rise from the mob. In 1969 MJ debuted with ‘I want you back’ for Motown records and it became the fastest selling record for the company. He followed it up with a string of hits , including his first No.1 ‘ Ben’ and the album’ Off the wall “ with producer Quincy Jones.
But it was November 1982 that changed the course of music history. ‘Thriller’ became Jackson’s biggest triumph with over a 100 million records being sold worldwide and it was No. 1 for a record 37 weeks. It was proclaimed the Best Selling Album Of all times by the Guinness Book of Records in 1985 . As a music critic rightly observed “ After Thriller MJ ceased to be a phenomenon infact he went beyond phenomenon.” In 1984 he won 8 Grammy awards following it up with 3 more in 1985. As time passed by he continued to release chart topping albums( Bad(1987) ,Dangerous(1991), HIStory (1995)). Channels like MTV were born because of his songs. His dressing sense including his red jacket and his white gloves became the talk of the town. Every thing that he did was now dissected and scrutinized by the media. MJ sold, and the paparazzi knew that. By 1995 he had become a legend , a one man industry.
Even as his musical career soared high on the personal front he did not meet with much success. Two failed marriages and his behaviour towards his children became the talking point in the media. Then in September 1993 he was accused of sexual abuse by a 13 year old. Several such allegations followed. His out of court settlements and his shopping sprees landed him into deep financial troubles. In January 2005 , he was acquitted of all charges. MJ’s last album , ‘Invincible’ sold 2.1 million copies and was probably his first critical flop. In March 2009 he announced his final tour ,” This is it” to be held across London. As destiny would have it, it was never to be।
Whatever the accusations, however eccentric he might have been , one cannot forget the cheer Michael Jackson brought to his fans. With chart topping , heart rendering numbers like ‘Beat it’, ’They don’t really care about us’ , ‘ We are the world’, MJ proved to the world that music could unify souls trespassing all barriers .
In India itself Michael Jackson inspired an entire generation , from music director Bappi Lahiri , to choreographers like Farah Khan. Mithun Chakrobarty’s steps in the superhit ‘DiscoDancer’ were inspired from MJ.
The entire world is shocked at his untimely death. There are reports that he was being administered morphine by his coterie of doctors , that he was being put under tremendous pressure from his sponsors for the last tour. Agreed that Michael Jackson had his faults . He may not have been the perfect father or the perfect human being but when it came to music and dance he always was and always will be ‘ THE KING’.
As his last words I put before you Michael Jackson’s letter to his Indian fans (during his 1996 tour )
“India
All my life I have longed to see your face. I met you and your people and I fell in love with you. Now my heart is filled with sorrow and despair for I have to leave you. But I promise that I shall return to love you and caress you again. Your kindness has overwhelmed me your children have truly touched my heart . I truly love and adore you India. Where Mr. Sibal has got it wrong?
Arjun Singh our EX HRD minister was the worst thing that happened to India.
I hope you don’t repeat the mistakes he did. Its nice to see that you have been very proactive in the last few days. Based on the Yashpal Committee report you have proposed a few changes to our ailing education system.
But there are a few flaws in your approach that I need to point out.
First let me just point out the three major ideas that you have proposed.
1) 1. The scrapping of class X board exams.
2) 2. Grading system(or a percentile system ) instead of percentage system in class XII and a common national board.
3) 3. Formation of an autonomous authority for higher education system and research .
The first point about scrapping the class X board exams ,well sir you have hit the nail on the head when you say that the children go through intense trauma due to these exams. But have you tried to understand why. The reason is simple. Getting good marks alone helps you to get into a good higher secondary school. Will the trauma end if the board exams are scrapped. I think not . The same problems regarding admissions will prevail. Infact this will lead to more chaos on the parameters on which student admission to class XI should take place. The real problem is there are not enough seats in good institutions . That is probably the basic reason why a prospective C.V Raman eventually becomes a Tom Dick and Harry as he grows up. What you really need to do is that ensure that all the schools that are springing up like mushrooms get affiliation only when they offer quality education. Moreover you need to increase the number of seats in these institutes.
Coming to your second point about introducing grading or a national percentile system . Will it really help? The only visible change it will bring is that the cutoff for a Shri Ram College Of Commerce or a St.Stephen will be 99.99 percentile instead of 98 percent. No sir , it will serve no other purpose than creating confusion. However your idea of a single board deserves merit because there is a huge difference in the marking patterns of state boards and C.B.S.E / I.S.C. No wonder we have ridiculous cutoffs for graduation courses.( 98% for economics ! Give me a break.). If you really want to solve the problems that students face after passing class XII you must ask universities to look into other facets of a child personality and not merely his/her academics before admitting him/her. Moreover these universities need to introduce more vocational courses.
Your third point about an autonomous body for higher education and research is , I must say, the need of the hour. UGC needs to be renamed Useless Governing Council....Ha Ha Ha .LMAO LMAO LMAO ROFLMAO ROFLMAO...And one more thing Mr. Sibal , please see to it that apartment with three rooms are not given university status.
I hope that you achieve all that you have set out to in the coming 100 days . I wish you all the success.

Yes friends , the national anthem is least NATIONAL . It was never meant to be NATIONAL . It was meant for the king , he was called the’ bhagya vidhata’. Don’t you ever wonder why no freedom fighter ever sang JANA GANA MANA during the days of freedom struggle . It was because they identified themselves with the song VANDE MATARAM written by another Bengali ( and a true nationalist) Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay . So much so that when the 15 year old Chandra Shekhar Azaad was slashed 15 times every time the words that came out of his mouth were …..VANDE MATARAM.
Now an interesting fact. In 1914 Rabindranath Tagore was awarded the Noble prize. Do you know who was the noble prize committee chairman ?...... George V. But the king realized that a prize could not be given just on the basis of a song . And so came the book by Tagore ….. GITANJALI …. an obscure piece which many intellectuals cannot understand.
It was in 1940 that Rabindranath Tagore wrote a letter to his brother in law in which he admitted that JANA GANA MANA was the worst song he ever wrote . He also asked his brother in law to publish the letter after his ( Tagore’s) death. The letter was never published .
When the constituent assembly met to decide on the National symbols of India some unanimous decisions were taken. When it came down to the National Anthem the majority of the members were against JANA GANA MANA being the National Anthem . However one man was in favour. …. JAWAHAR LAL NEHRU. Finally it was decided that a voting should decide the National Anthem. 319 members were against Tagore’s song , one vote was in its favour , that of Nehru. Seeing that he was in a losing battle Nehru played his trump card….. he offered his resignation. The house relented . The three reasons Nehru offered for this’ Nationalistic ‘choice were
1) The music of JANA GANA MANA suits the orchestra ( by that he meant the English orchestra)
2) Most foreigners had already heard the song.
3) This one takes the piece of cake. He said NATIONAL ANTHEMS were meant to be heard by foreigners .
Dear friends for long I have had problems with Nehru . He was the person who had tried his level best that Hindi should not become our national language . Infact Hindi won by just one vote. It was Nehru whose selfishness caused us to lose a piece of land we now know as Pakistan.
Have you ever wondered why Vande Mataram was never sung in the parliament . It was because it was never allowed to. This question was raised by our former prime minister Chanradshekhar during the NDA rule and hence from 1997 the parliament proceedings started with VANDE MATARAM and ended with jana gana mana .

Leader by default or rather by fault , Rahul Gandhi : Congress’ HOPE FOR 2014 OR B.J.P’S BEST BET?

MAY 5 , 2009: “ I think the Left will support a Manmohan Singh government.”
Its as if Rahul Gandhi wakes up every morning with almost no recollection of what he spoke the last day ( I call it the GHAJINI syndrome). Rahul Gandhi according to me is the fifth most boring speaker in the present Indian political scene ( his mother tops the list with Mayawati finishing a close second). But even I had some respect for his political acumen. Well Mr. Rahul Gandhi , you have dashed them all with your recent statements.
The fact is Congress realizes that it will not be able to gather the numbers for Manmohan Singh to be the next prime minister( or pseudo P.M). So Rahul Gandhi made a candid statement to reach out to some prospective allies. Infact he said that the Congress may look to join hands with Nitish Kumar’s J.D.U , Jaya Lalita’s A.I.A.D.M.K. and Chandra babu Naidu’s T.D.P. Let me Pranay Tiwari , a political novice explain to Mr. Rahul Gandhi why he has got it all wrong.
1) Dear Rahul, Nitish Kumar ( albeit his differences with Mr. Modi) will never support U.P.A. because it needs B.J.P support in Bihar without which it will cease to have a majority . Sadly the Congress with its dwindling base in Bihar cannot offer that kind of insurance. Moreover Nitish’s support will guarantee a divorce with Laloo Prasad Yadav.
2) Mr. Rahul, tying up with Jaya Lalitha’s A.I.A.D.M.K would mean distancing yourself from Karunanidhi’s D.M.K . I do not think that can be easily done.
3) Third if you somehow manage to get Left’s support ( using the often abused secular pretext) you lose a key partner in Bengal, Mamta Banerjee.
Moreover it would mean cheating the people of Kerela where Congress and the Left are in direct confrontation.
4) And finally Mr. Rahul, you praise Chandra Babu Naidu’s work in Andhra Pradesh when your chief minister Y.S.Reddy is fighting a tough battle there. It does not work that way .
Those having a soft corner for Rahul Gandhi would say that it is precisely this innocence of his that is heart touching. I say that there are times when you need to differentiate the subtle line between innocence and naivety . Mr. Rahul Gandhi I am afraid, is hovering around the latter.
That’s the problem with dynastic politics. It gives you a politician but fails to ensure that he is a leader. I hope the day never comes when Rahul Gandhi becomes our P.M. Why? Even I am a better candidate than him. And why should I doubt my chances. After all politics is the art of the possible, ideology be damned.

INDIAN STUDENTS RACIALLY TREATED ABROAD
It’s the great Indian dream shattering. As I sit down to write this , I can see the bloodied eye of Sourabh Sharma , an Indian student studying hospitality, brutally bashed when six thugs confronted him in the train.
The sad part is this is not a one off incident. The number of Indian students assaulted and murdered is on the rise and yes, however non- chalant we try to be ….. fact is the situation is serious. Just consider the following incidents:
In the latest assault ( in Australia ), four students were attacked with a screwdriver by gatecrashers at a party in Hadfield, in Melbourne's north, on Saturday night. One victim, Sravan Kumar Theerthala, 24, remained in intensive care in Royal Melbourne Hospital the whole night. On Monday, Baljinder Singh, 25, a student, was stabbed in Carnegie as he walked alone at night. The attack left him in The Alfred hospital. In US on Nov 2008 Arpana Jinaga (24), student of MS at Seattle, was killed in the early hours (IST) of Saturday.The murder of Jinaga came close on the heels of a string of murders of NRIs from Andhra Pradesh.While A Srinivas, a PG medical student, Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam, both PhD students, were killed in 2007, T Soumya Reddy and her cousin Vikram Reddy were killed in September, 2008.
I am not here to present facts and figures. I just want to say a few things that has been disturbing me for the last couple of days.
First , the trend in Indian students to hide facts. Yes getting into a good foreign university is a tough job . But that does not mean that even if we are beaten there or laughed at we are going to keep quiet just because it may be looked upon as the shattering of the great Indian dream. Now that the Australia incident has happened many Indian students in Australia are coming forth to tell how they were ill treated. In the last three months in Australia 500 cases of assault on Indian students has been reported. I asked one of my relatives studying in US whether there is racism there. She replied “ No no , it does not happen in US . Its predominant in U.K”. When I asked one of my friends studying in U.K if that’s the truth he said that racism was a US phenomenon . I don’t believe that racism is country specific . I think it depends on a person’s mindset and how he has been brought up. Many people in the US still don’t like to eat in places that allow blacks to dine . My brother who stayed in Rotherham U.K for a year said that many English people used to call the Indian taxi drivers “ bloody Paki” . One of the factors which I think is very important to understand is that sometimes a growing sense of insecurity among natives can be wrongly looked upon as racism. Many natives in the US , UK and other countries feel that their jobs are under threat from the people of India and China . The recent recession has only aggravated the sentiment.
I would request all Indian people especially students to bring forth any cases of ill treatment that they have seen or received. Hiding facts ( or living in Alice in wonderland) won’t solve the problem.
Second thing that I would like to point out is the attitude of the authorities . An IIM Bangalore graduate Shishir was beaten up one and a half months ago by some people in U.K . Till now the police have not caught even a single culprit ( and we call the Indian police names!). The way the Australian police has acted ( or not acted) in the last few days has raised a lot of questions . A reporter of an Australian daily rightly asked “ Would the police be as slack if the students attacked were Americans ?” I think we all know the answer to that . Uncle Sam commands stricter action does it not? I think the Indian High Commission has to be more active in this regard.
An Australian blog writer called Indian students ‘smelly’ . I think if it were not for these smelly Indian students many foreign education institutes would have found it hard to sustain in these turbulent times. My project is on carbon nanotubes and the two teachers whose articles I follow most happen to be smelly Indians teaching at Purdue University. After all god has never been a racist and so everybody gets as much talent as they seek….skin color is never a constraint there.
The sad part is this is not a one off incident. The number of Indian students assaulted and murdered is on the rise and yes, however non- chalant we try to be ….. fact is the situation is serious. Just consider the following incidents:
In the latest assault ( in Australia ), four students were attacked with a screwdriver by gatecrashers at a party in Hadfield, in Melbourne's north, on Saturday night. One victim, Sravan Kumar Theerthala, 24, remained in intensive care in Royal Melbourne Hospital the whole night. On Monday, Baljinder Singh, 25, a student, was stabbed in Carnegie as he walked alone at night. The attack left him in The Alfred hospital. In US on Nov 2008 Arpana Jinaga (24), student of MS at Seattle, was killed in the early hours (IST) of Saturday.The murder of Jinaga came close on the heels of a string of murders of NRIs from Andhra Pradesh.While A Srinivas, a PG medical student, Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam, both PhD students, were killed in 2007, T Soumya Reddy and her cousin Vikram Reddy were killed in September, 2008.
I am not here to present facts and figures. I just want to say a few things that has been disturbing me for the last couple of days.
First , the trend in Indian students to hide facts. Yes getting into a good foreign university is a tough job . But that does not mean that even if we are beaten there or laughed at we are going to keep quiet just because it may be looked upon as the shattering of the great Indian dream. Now that the Australia incident has happened many Indian students in Australia are coming forth to tell how they were ill treated. In the last three months in Australia 500 cases of assault on Indian students has been reported. I asked one of my relatives studying in US whether there is racism there. She replied “ No no , it does not happen in US . Its predominant in U.K”. When I asked one of my friends studying in U.K if that’s the truth he said that racism was a US phenomenon . I don’t believe that racism is country specific . I think it depends on a person’s mindset and how he has been brought up. Many people in the US still don’t like to eat in places that allow blacks to dine . My brother who stayed in Rotherham U.K for a year said that many English people used to call the Indian taxi drivers “ bloody Paki” . One of the factors which I think is very important to understand is that sometimes a growing sense of insecurity among natives can be wrongly looked upon as racism.
